Tropical Seed

Perfume Parlour Tropical Seed is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2018. Tropical Seed opens with Mandarin, Orange, Bergamot, and Cardamom, settles into a heart of Pineapple, Tuberose, Jasmine, and Ylang-Ylang, and dries down to a base of Vanilla, Benzoin, and Patchouli. Perfume Parlour's Tropical Seed carries a Statement verdict, a fruity-led wear.

A budget version of Memo Paris Tamarindo. Tropical Seed reproduces the candied-pineapple-and-white-floral signature, but the sugary fruit reads louder and more synthetic up top while the smooth vanilla-benzoin drydown loses some of the original's plush depth.

About

Tropical Seed opens on a juicy citrus-and-pineapple rush, with mandarin, orange, bergamot and a whisper of cardamom framing the fruit - much like the sweet, almost candied pineapple that greets you in Memo Tamarindo. The heart is where it lives: a big, jammy pineapple wrapped in creamy tuberose, jasmine, ylang-ylang and a soft peach-coconut sweetness that leans tropical and slightly suntan-lotion. The base settles into warm vanilla, benzoin and a touch of patchouli for a sweet-resinous close. Against the original, this Perfume Parlour take pushes the sugary pineapple higher and renders it a little flatter and more synthetic, while the rich vanilla-amber drydown is thinner and fades faster. Longevity is moderate and projection is friendly but not loud. It is a cheerful, summery tropical-gourmand that captures the fun of Tamarindo without its refined plushness.
