Rebel Aromas Bluebell Bomb is an Eau de Parfum. Bluebell Bomb opens with Bluebell and Green, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Lily Of The Valley, and Freesia, and dries down to a base of Woody, Musk, and Amber. Rebel Aromas's Bluebell Bomb carries an Acquired verdict, a green-led wear.

Bluebell Bomb is Rebel Aromas' answer to Jo Malone Wild Bluebell, the delicate cologne built on green stems and soft florals. It nails the bright, green-floral opening reasonably well but is louder and flatter than the whisper-light original, and it fades much sooner.

About

Jo Malone Wild Bluebell is famously restrained: a cologne-strength scent of green bluebell stems, clover and jasmine that reads as fresh, English-garden pretty rather than sweet or heavy, with modest but pleasant longevity typical of the house. Rebel Aromas' Bluebell Bomb pushes the same green-floral idea louder, opening with a bright bluebell-and-green-leaves top, a jasmine, lily of the valley and freesia heart, and a soft woodsy-musk-amber base. The opening is convincingly fresh and green, and fans of the original's mood will recognise the family resemblance, but the dupe is noticeably more forward and less nuanced than Jo Malone's featherlight original, and it settles into a simple, forgettable musk within a couple of hours rather than lingering delicately. A decent, wallet-friendly green-floral for spring and summer, if not a precise stand-in for the real thing.
