Rebel Aromas Outlaw is an Eau de Parfum. Outlaw opens with Bergamot and Lime, settles into a heart of Sea Water and Jasmine, and dries down to a base of Musk and Cedar. Rebel Aromas's Outlaw carries an Acquired verdict, a aquatic-led wear.

Outlaw copies the citrus-marine-cedar formula of Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio but with a sharper, cheaper-smelling citrus opening and a shorter, flatter finish than the original's beach-holiday polish.

About

Outlaw draws directly from Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio's playbook, opening with a bright bergamot-lime citrus blast that is louder and slightly more synthetic than the original's Sicilian-Mediterranean nuance. The sea-water-and-jasmine heart nails the general aquatic-aromatic direction the original is famous for, though it lacks the rosemary, calone and freesia layering that gives Acqua di Gio its signature depth. Cedarwood and musk finish things simply, echoing the original's warm-woody drydown but without the oakmoss and patchouli complexity, so the scent thins out and disappears faster on skin than Acqua di Gio's already-moderate 3-5 hour wear. For anyone who loves the classic summer-aquatic vibe on a budget, Outlaw gets the broad strokes right, but it will not fool a fan of the original up close.
