Rebel Aromas Rebel 33 is an Eau de Parfum. Rebel 33 opens with Citrus, Bergamot, and Apple, settles into a heart of Spicy, Jasmine, and Lavender, and dries down to a base of Musk, Cedar, and Patchouli. Rebel Aromas's Rebel 33 carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

Rebel 33 nods to Le Labo Santal 33's cult woody-leather signature but leans on a brighter citrus-spice opening and a simpler cedarwood-patchouli base, missing the creamy sandalwood-and-leather texture that made the original iconic.

About

Rebel 33 takes its name and inspiration from Le Labo's cult classic Santal 33, opening with a citrus-bergamot-apple brightness rather than the original's cardamom-and-violet introduction. The jasmine-lavender-spice heart is pleasant but flatter, missing the creamy sandalwood and papyrus texture that gives Santal 33 its famously smooth, leathery signature. Cedarwood, patchouli and musk provide a comparable woody-spicy base, though the ambrox-driven depth and 8-10 hour performance of the original are hard to replicate at this price, and the scent here fades noticeably faster. It is an approachable, wallet-friendly way to try the woody-aromatic genre that Santal 33 popularised, but purists chasing the exact creamy sandalwood signature will notice the difference.
