The dupe follows that shift closely, moving into a patchouli-and-vetiver heart before settling on a birch-tonka-musk base. What's missing is the textural detail that makes the genuine Aventus Cologne feel refined rather than just fresh - the spearmint and ozonic facets that give the original its clean, airy lift are absent here, and the cedar-and-styrax woodiness that rounds out Creed's base is replaced by a simpler musk-and-tonka finish. The result is a recognisably citrus-woody take on the Aventus idea that wears lighter and fades faster than the smoky standard No. 200, making it a reasonable daytime option for office wear, warm-weather days and casual dates, even if it doesn't fully capture the original's polish.
