Damask Rose & Oudh is one of The Essence Vault's own Base Note Collection compositions, built to evoke a luxurious rose-oud pairing rather than to copy a particular original. A brief bergamot opening leads into a lush, true-to-name Damask rose heart, before the fragrance deepens into a warm, smoky oudh base. The rose-oud combination is a well-worn one in both niche and mainstream perfumery, and here it's rendered in a simplified, budget-friendly form, less resinous depth and complexity than a premium oud composition, with the rose sitting fairly linear against the base rather than fully entwined with it.
