The citrus opening of orange and bergamot arrives brighter and more assertive, a louder echo of the original's sparkling top accord. Rose and jasmine return in the heart, thickened here rather than layered, missing some of the designer version's mimosa-ylang complexity. Where this edition earns its Intense name is the base: patchouli deepens and tonka bean adds a warm, almost dessert-like sweetness, standing in for the original's vanilla-musk-vetiver finish, though without quite the same textured depth or staying power. It performs noticeably stronger than the standard No. 37 for the first few hours, making it a reasonable budget option for evenings when a bolder, sweeter take on the fresh amber floral template is wanted, even if it settles down faster than the genuine Intense or Parfum.
