Superdry

UK streetwear label offering casual, affordable fragrances with fresh, sporty profiles.

About Superdry

Superdry is a British fashion brand founded in 2003 by Julian Dunkerton and James Holder, known primarily for its graphic apparel that blends Japanese-inspired graphics with vintage Americana and British streetwear. Headquartered in the UK and listed on the London Stock Exchange, the company has built a sizable global retail footprint, with over 180 Superdry branded stores in 11 countries and more than 300 franchise or license locations in over 40 countries.

The brand extended into fragrance in 2011, launching its first scents such as Superdry Dry, Double Dry and Dry Oil for men. Industry databases like Fragrantica list more than a dozen Superdry perfumes released since then, created with established perfumers including Christian Plesch, Nathalie Lorson, Alexandra Monet, Romain Almalric, Fabrice Pellegrin and Coralie Spicher. Superdry’s fragrances often parallel its clothing aesthetic: youthful, casual and easy to wear, with an emphasis on approachable fresh, fruity and woody compositions.

In 2024 Superdry introduced Real Superdry 01, a new fragrance line conceived as a duo of complementary scents under the creative direction of CEO Julian Dunkerton. Developed by perfumers Nathalie Lorson and Alexandra Monet, the pair share a salty, mineral, woody backbone but are styled into distinct masculine and feminine versions. The Real Superdry 01 launch is positioned within the brand as a way to deepen its lifestyle offering, sold through selected Superdry stores and key retail partners such as The Fragrance Shop.

Superdry started in fragrance with straightforward masculine offerings around 2011, mirroring its menswear focus at the time. Over the following years the line expanded into both masculine and feminine scents, mostly fresh and sporty, sold through fashion channels and mainstream fragrance retailers. With the launch of Real Superdry 01 in 2024, the brand has moved toward slightly more concept-driven compositions, highlighting perfumer credits and shared unisex accords, while still aiming for mass appeal and approachable pricing.
