Which Should You Buy?
Emporio Armani Lui is a bittersweet symphony - a classic, classy scent that everyone loves, but its modern formulation is tragically fleeting. Once a signature, now a ghost of its former self, leaving a trail of compliments for the lucky few who catch a fleeting whiff, and a lot of frustration for everyone else.
This is Divain's take on Giorgio Armani's Emporio Armani Lui, a citrus-fruity fresh fragrance with a powdery iris-rose heart. The bergamot-pineapple opening and sandalwood-musk base are a reasonable likeness, but the dupe's iris-rose heart is quieter than the original's, and the overall composition sits lighter and closer to the skin than Emporio's own crisp, confident sillage.

Season and Occasion Fit
Seasons
Versatile across every season - no clear seasonal preference from wearers.
Occasions
Its clean, inoffensive woody-citrus and powdery accords make it an excellent choice for the office and casual wear, despite its poor longevity. While elegant enough for a date, its weak projection means it serves better in intimate settings than formal ones where a stronger presence is expected. It's not suited for sport due to its lack of energising projection and rapid fade.
Seasons
A bright citrus-fruity opening and light powdery heart suit the warmer half of the year.
Occasions
A clean, understated profile with modest projection suits office and casual daytime wear best.
