About
Cherry syrup is a gourmand note: boiled sugar syrup carrying cherry. It is dense and sweet rather than juicy, closer to the liquid a maraschino cherry sits in than to fresh fruit. A bitter-almond edge runs under the sugar and stops it going flat.
Scent Profile
Fruity and sweet_vanillic sit almost level and that near-tie is the note. Fruity is dark red cherry, syrup-soaked rather than just-picked. Sweet_vanillic is the boiled sugar itself, thick and glossy. Nutty is the benzaldehyde bitter-almond facet that every cherry material in this vocabulary carries. Boozy is a small kirsch or rum lift, named in both pyramids found. Honeyed carries the syrup's stickiness. Below the naming line: a light sour tartness, a faint amber_resinous warmth from the benzoin-and-ambroxan bases it habitually sits on, a powdery candied trace and a thin lactonic creaminess.

Origin
Not a distilled material. It is a fantasy gourmand accord, built from cherry aroma chemicals over a syrup base. The cherry character comes from benzaldehyde and cherry esters, the syrup from vanillic and caramelic sweeteners. Nothing was found treating it as a defined perfumery raw material separate from the brand compositions that carry the name.
Usage in Perfumery
A top-to-heart gourmand accent. It gives a build an immediate sweet-red-fruit hit and a candied texture. It works over vanilla, tonka, benzoin and ambroxan bases, and is used to soften the medicinal edge of saffron.
