Strawberry cream is a jammy strawberry riding on a soft dairy base. The fruit leads and the cream carries it. It is sweeter and rounder than plain strawberry, and it drops the tart green edge that plain strawberry has. The one branded example found builds the cream half from cacao, vanilla and sandalwood rather than from milk-fat materials, so the creaminess reads as dessert rather than as fresh dairy.

Fruity leads and both sources put it first: Pacifica opens on 'fresh picked strawberry' and Scentspiracy calls the key material 'intensely sweet, fruity, strawberry-like'. It is jam rather than fresh fruit, which is why green and sour are held- Scentspiracy's profile is balsamic and powdery, not tart, and the published plain strawberry note carries green 0.35 and sour 0.32 that this accord does not. Lactonic is the cream half, from 'a creamy vanilla and sandalwood finish' and 'Geranium and cacao bring a smooth, creamy twist'. Sweet_vanillic is the vanilla and the boiled-sugar sweetness both sources name. Powdery is stated directly by Scentspiracy for the strawberry aldehyde. Coffee_cacao is the 'white cocoa note' Pacifica names twice. Below the naming line: floral for the 'fruity-floral' half of the aldehyde's odour type, creamy_woody for the sandalwood, amber_resinous for the amber and the balsamic edge, honeyed for the jam.

Origin

An accord, not an extract. The fruit half is built from the glycidate esters the trade calls strawberry aldehydes - chiefly Aldehyde C-16 EPG, ethyl 3-phenylglycidate, CAS 121-39-1, which Scentspiracy describes as having 'a powerful, fruity-floral odor evocative of strawberry jam'. The cream half is built from vanillic and lactonic materials. Pacifica's product of this name lists strawberry, peach and mandarin over geranium and cacao, finishing on vanilla, amber and sandalwood.
