About
Rocket fuel is an imagined note. No propellant is used to make it. Hydrazine, nitrogen tetroxide and kerosene/RP-1 are acutely toxic and never enter a formula. What perfumers build instead is a three-part accord: a metallic core, a sharp ozonic top and a burnt base.
Scent Profile
Rocket Fuel smells sharp, chemical and aggressively metallic, a mineral note doing metal rather than wet stone. A burnt, smoky half comes from guaiacol and cade-like traces. A sharp ozonic top sits above that, aquatic in the ozone-molecule sense rather than watery. Aldehydes at a high dose give it a separate sparkling, aldehydic edge, with a trace of leather riding along with the smoke.

Origin
Not extracted and not a single molecule. It is a compounded accord built from industrial-metallic materials of the iron-accord type, ozone-type molecules and aldehydes dosed hard, with guaiacol and traces of cade for the burnt end. It has no botanical or chemical referent, so no manufacturer olfactive description and no analytical study exist for it, and none is likely to.
Usage in Perfumery
Attested once on Fragrantica, in the Uncategorized group, and absent from Parfumo. It appears only in experimental, artistic and statement work, where it stands for machinery, velocity and industrial power.
