4160 Tuesdays Hush Hush is a Parfum launched in 2023, created by Sarah McCartney. Hush Hush opens with Bergamot and Orange Blossom, settles into a heart of Rose, Iris, and Violet, and dries down to a base of Musk and Vanilla. 4160 Tuesdays's Hush Hush carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

Claire Sprigmore's private Hush Hush, turned up to Parfum strength: a powdery superdose of violet and musk over iris and rose petals, built to last through a whole night of dancing rather than the EDP or EDT's lighter daytime dose.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter

The superdosed violet-musk heart and full Parfum concentration read as an evening, cold-weather scent built for dancing until dawn, so it scores far higher for autumn and winter than for the lighter, brighter months.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Formal

The brand's own copy frames this explicitly as a night-out, dancing-'til-dawn strength rather than a daytime wear, which suits formal evenings and date nights far more than office or sport, with casual wear only a secondary fit.

Declarable allergens

We derive these from the materials behind this fragrance's notes, not from the bottle. Each one is likely, not confirmed. The list is partial - the box can name others.

In standard patch-test panels

  • Geraniol from Rose

Other declarable allergens

  • Bergamot Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Peel Oil from Bergamot
  • Synthetic musk Hexamethylindanopyran from Musk
  • Vanillin from Vanilla

The large name is the everyday one. The small name is the INCI form on the box, so you can compare the two. Reactions differ between people. A patch-test panel is not a ranking of risk. How we derive this

About

Hush Hush at Parfum strength is billed by 4160 Tuesdays as Smurfygurly Claire Sprigmore's own private version of their collaboration: the same secret-1920s-party idea as the EDP and EDT, but built for dancing until dawn rather than a daytime wear. Iris opens the heart of it, powdery and soft, before a genuine superdose of violet and musk takes over, far more concentrated here than in the lighter versions. A crisp paper-cigarette-packet accord and wood panelling give it a period, vintage-party texture, while a hint of silk stocking and rose petals keeps a delicate, feminine thread running through the powderiness. It shares its bergamot-and-orange-blossom opening with the EDP and EDT, though at this strength the violet-musk heart is very much the point. Built explicitly for a night out, this is the longest-lasting and most present of the three Hush Hush concentrations, with the amplified violet and musk giving it real staying power across a full evening. It still reads as a house scent for people who like their vintage powderiness soft rather than shouted, so it rewards close attention more than it fills a room, but it holds up through hours of dancing in a way the daytime strengths are not built to do. It sits as the special-occasion sibling of a collaboration piece the house is clearly proud of, for anyone who has already worn the EDP or EDT and wants the same idea with the volume and longevity turned up for an evening that runs late.
