The base settles into warm sandalwood and labdanum, giving a sensual, slightly resinous close that keeps the composition grounded through the drydown. Where the original leans on rare naturals and Duchaufour's signature layering for a genuinely exotic, textured feel, this dupe is noticeably flatter and simpler, with the orchid and sandalwood reading more like a pleasant generic tropical fragrance than a complex art-perfume experience. Performance is modest, with the salty opening fading within the first couple of hours into a soft, close-to-skin sandalwood-musk trail.
