Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Morocco is a perfume oil. Morocco opens with Cassia and Saffron, settles into a heart of Spicy Notes, Carnation, and Incense, and dries down to a base of Musk and Sandalwood. Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's Morocco carries a Statement verdict, a spicy-led wear.

A warm, spiced desert incense built on carnation, musk and red sandalwood. Soft and close to the skin, a calmer cousin of Snake Oil, with a carnation that can lean soapy.

Top, heart and base are the pyramid as published, not a timing claim. Each note's timing follows its listed tier, where it usually sits across many published pyramids (from ScentPrism) and its vapour pressure. A note comes through as the notes usually listed before it fade, judged from how other pyramids order the same pair. The thickness of a ribbon shows the note's share of what is left on the skin, which tracks how strongly it smells, because odour thresholds rise with vapour pressure. The shares come from how prominent wearers vote each note. It is a simple model, not a measurement.

Best For:
Autumn Winter
Also Works:
Summer

Autumn is the natural home for its warm spice and incense, with winter next. The soft, never heavy build means summer evenings work too. Spring is the weakest fit.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Casual
Also Works:
Office Date

A soft, close-to-skin spice that is cosy for casual and daily wear. It can pass in an office or on a date, though the carnation can read old-fashioned or soapy.

About

Morocco is one of the oldest names in the Black Phoenix line: heady incense drifting on warm desert air, Arabian spice winding through musk, carnation, red sandalwood and cassia. On skin it is a golden, buttery warmth with a dry, exotic edge, saffron and cassia keeping it sunny. Carnation comes first, then a soft incense and spice, settling into a cosy, close-to-skin warmth. It is quieter than the name suggests, soft rather than dramatic. The carnation is the deciding note, warm and spicy against the sandalwood. Anyone after a spicy carnation will find it exactly right. It belongs to autumn, with winter and even summer evenings possible. Wear is moderate with intimate to moderate sillage, so it stays close and personal.
