Blossom Perfumery's No. 111 chases Paco Rabanne's Black XS with the same spicy-sweet skeleton: a crisp lemon and sage opening gives way to a praline, cinnamon and black cardamom heart warmed by tolu balsam, before settling into rosewood, black amber and patchouli. Where the original builds a slow, layered sensuality, this dupe front-loads the sweetness and spice for instant impact, then thins out within a couple of hours. It captures the mood - dark, spicy, a little dangerous - well enough for a night out, but projection tails off fast and the base never develops the same smoky depth. A fair budget stand-in for testing whether the Black XS profile suits you before committing to the original.
