420 takes its cue from Creed's Aventus for Her, opening with a crisp green apple and bergamot accord lifted with pink pepper and violet. The heart brings rose and sandalwood together with a touch of styrax for warmth, while the base settles into blackcurrant, peach, amber and ylang-ylang for a sweet, fruity finish. The apple reads a touch sharper and more artificial than Creed's version, and projection drops off noticeably within the first two hours. Still, for anyone who wants the general fruity-woody silhouette of Aventus for Her for daytime wear without the designer price tag, this captures the essential idea reasonably well, even if it can't match the original's depth or staying power.
