Blossom Perfumery 154 Hypnosis is an Eau de Parfum. 154 Hypnosis opens with Passion Flower, settles into a heart of Jasmine and Gardenia, and dries down to a base of Vetiver and Vanilla. Blossom Perfumery's 154 Hypnosis carries an Acquired verdict, a vanilla-led wear.

Inspired by Dior Hypnotic Poison. The vanilla-jasmine-almond-adjacent warmth comes through, but No. 154 is a flatter, sweeter read that skips the original's bitter-almond twist and fades a couple of hours earlier.

About

No. 154 borrows the oriental-vanilla formula that made Dior's Hypnotic Poison famous: a passion flower opening, a jasmine and gardenia heart, and a vanilla-vetiver base. Sprayed fresh, the warm sweet-floral character is a reasonable match for the genre. What's missing is Hypnotic Poison's signature bitter-almond and caraway edge that gives it a slightly dangerous, addictive quality - here the composition reads as a more straightforward sweet vanilla-floral, without that twist, and the vetiver base fades to a plain sweet musk within three hours where the original keeps evolving for six or more. A solid budget introduction to the style, but it plays it safe where the original takes a risk.
