Blossom Perfumery 478 Classique Essence de Parfum is an Eau de Parfum. 478 Classique Essence de Parfum opens with Ginger, Aldehydes, and Tangerine, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom and Jasmine, and dries down to a base of Cashmere Wood, Cream, Vanilla, and Benzoin. Blossom Perfumery's 478 Classique Essence de Parfum carries an Acquired verdict, a vanilla-led wear.

No.478 follows JPG Classique Essence de Parfum's gourmand-floral rework closely - spicy citrus into orange blossom and jasmine over a whipped-cream vanilla base - but the cashmere-wood finish is thinner and the sillage tapers off quicker than the concentrated original.

About

Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique got a gourmand makeover in its Essence de Parfum edition, layering whipped cream and cashmere woods under the classic orange blossom heart, and No.478 follows that same recipe closely. The tangerine-ginger-aldehyde opening is sparkling and true to the original's sweet-spicy start, and the orange blossom and jasmine sambac heart delivers a convincing white floral bloom. The base is where the difference shows: the whipped cream and vanilla come through clearly, but the cashmere wood accord that gives Classique Essence its cosy, enveloping density is noticeably lighter here, so the fragrance reads a touch flatter and less luxurious in its final hours. Performance is decent for an evening or date-night wear, fading to a soft vanilla musk sooner than the designer version's longer-lasting concentration. A solid gourmand-floral option for anyone who likes the idea of Classique's dessert-like twist without the higher price point.
