Blossom Perfumery 503 | Ysair is an Eau de Parfum. 503 | Ysair opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Ginger, and Mint, settles into a heart of Violet Leaf, Geranium, Apple, and Pineapple, and dries down to a base of Canadian Fir Balsam, Musk, Cedar, and Vetiver. Blossom Perfumery's 503 | Ysair carries an Acquired verdict, a aromatic-led wear.

503 | Ysair is Blossom Perfumery's take on YSL's Y Eau de Parfum. The ginger-bergamot opening and sage-geranium heart land close, but the drydown thins out fast and loses the original's amberwood depth, so treat this as a louder, shorter-lived stand-in rather than a true match.

About

503 | Ysair opens with a sharp, citrusy rush of bergamot and ginger, spiked with a touch of aldehydes and lemon that gives the first twenty minutes real lift. Once the top notes settle, a green, herbal sage and geranium heart takes over, brightened by a faint apple and pineapple sweetness that keeps things from turning too austere. Where the original YSL Y builds toward a rich amberwood-and-tonka base, this dupe settles for a flatter combination of ambergris, cedar, incense and musk that reads more generic aromatic-woody than fougere. Projection is decent for the first hour but performance tails off noticeably faster than the original, landing closer to skin scent by the four-hour mark. It is a fair everyday desk-and-commute option for anyone who likes the idea of Y but does not need it to last the whole day.
