Bois 1920 Aethereus is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2014. Aethereus opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Orange, and Mimosa, settles into a heart of Coconut Blossom, Bitter Orange, Rose, and Geranium, and dries down to a base of Cedar, Vanilla, Tonka Bean, and Peru Balsam. Bois 1920's Aethereus carries an Acquired verdict, a fresh-led wear.

This one is as divisive as they come. A marmite scent for sure, some find its unique coconut-citrus blend heavenly, others find it a cloying, confused mess. Definitely not a safe blind buy.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer

A warm-weather pick - at its best in summer and spring.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Casual

With its long-lasting, strong sillage and prominent coconut, this leans heavily casual and is perfect for summer days or date nights. It's too much for the office and not formal enough, while its sweetness isn't suited for sport.

About

Aethereus opens with a bright, zesty burst of bergamot and lemon, quickly softened by a sweet, creamy wave of coconut and mimosa. As it settles, the tropical coconut blossom and rich tuberose emerge, underpinned by a hint of bitter orange and rose. The dry down is a warm, comforting embrace of vanilla, tonka bean, and cedar, leaving a subtly sweet and balsamic trail.
