Castle Forbes Special Reserve Neroli is an Eau de Parfum, created by Andrew French. Special Reserve Neroli opens with Bergamot, Neroli, Artemisia, and Australian Blue Cypress, settles into a heart of Petitgrain, Patchouli, Lavender, and Rosemary, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, and Sandalwood. Castle Forbes's Special Reserve Neroli carries a Statement verdict, a green-led wear.

Bitter orange blossom with a green, soapy character and a softly woody finish. It has more body and potential presence than its bright opening suggests, making it a good one to try on skin before adding extra sprays.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Special Reserve Neroli gives orange blossom a green, slightly bitter setting. Neroli leads the opening, with bergamot adding brightness and artemisia and blue cypress contributing an aromatic edge. The impression is clean and floral, but the bitterness keeps it from feeling like a sweet orange drink or a soft bouquet. Petitgrain carries that leafy character into the heart. Rosemary and lavender add a dry herbal texture, while patchouli supplies some depth beneath the fresher materials. Together they give the fragrance a familiar, slightly old-fashioned soapy character. The orange blossom can remain prominent, although some wearers find the muskier aspects arrive quickly and soften its sharper edges. Sandalwood, musk and amber provide the finish. They bring warmth and body to the citrus-floral theme without turning it into a heavy evening perfume. The contrast between bright blossom and softer woods is the main attraction: there is enough green detail to keep it brisk, but also a comfortable base that makes it feel more substantial than a simple splash of cologne. Spring and summer are its most natural seasons, especially for daytime wear. It suits casual plans and can work in the office with a light application. The opening has considerable presence on some wearers, so start with a small amount and allow the floral, herbal and woody parts to settle together. If you enjoy neroli but want a less fleeting, more textured expression, this is a worthwhile scent to sample.
