This is Divain's take on Dior Homme, the celebrated iris-and-cacao masculine that redefined powdery leather. The lavender-iris-cacao arc is unmistakably the right family, and the dupe deserves credit for even attempting it, but Dior Homme's signature is its velvety, near-3D iris texture, and the dupe's iris reads thinner and more linear, with a leather that arrives faster and flatter than the original's slow, suede-like drydown.

This dupe opens with a clean, aromatic burst of lavender and sage brightened by bergamot, before the real story begins: a buttery iris note paired with dry cacao and earthy cardamom, echoing the powdery-cocoa heart that made the original Dior Homme so influential. The base brings leather, Tahitian vetiver and patchouli for a masculine, slightly smoky finish. It is an ambitious attempt at one of modern perfumery's most acclaimed masculines, and the powdery-iris-leather direction is legible, but the texture is noticeably simpler and the leather note lacks the original's tactile depth. High intensity, good longevity for a formal dinner or an evening event.
