Eden's No.426 is inspired by Bois d'Argent, part of Dior's exclusive Maison Christian Dior line known for its restrained, silvery woody-chypre character. The opening leans on a cool, slightly bitter combination of iris, cypress and juniper berries that captures the original's understated, almost austere first impression well. The myrrh and patchouli heart brings warmth and depth, moving the fragrance from cold and mineral toward something richer, though the transition here feels somewhat less smooth than in the niche original. The base is where Bois d'Argent is best known, for a soft, refined suede accord layered over vanilla, amber and light musk; No.426 approximates this reasonably but the suede reads flatter and less luxurious, and the whole composition settles into a simpler generic woody-amber finish sooner than the original would. Still, for a fraction of the Maison Christian Dior price, it delivers a genuinely sophisticated, cool-weather unisex fragrance suited to formal or evening wear.
