Orchid Soleil earned its reputation for a warm, faintly gourmand floral character that some wearers pick up as toasted coconut or caramel, almost popcorn-like, and this dupe leans into exactly that. A creamy orchid note sits at the centre of the composition, wrapped in warm spice and amber, with saffron adding a subtle exotic edge. The sweetness reads convincingly reminiscent of toasted coconut without becoming a dessert scent, staying grounded by the amber base. Where it falls short of Tom Ford's original is richness - the real Orchid Soleil has a resinous, almost syrupy density to its amber-caramel drydown that this version only partially reaches, coming across softer and more diffuse by comparison.
