Eden's No.708 takes Valentino's Voce Viva as its template, opening on the same mandarin-bergamot-ginger citrus burst before settling into an orange-blossom-and-gardenia heart. The original earns its reputation on the way that heart is executed - a genuinely well-balanced orange blossom that Valentino's perfumers spent real effort refining - and this dupe simplifies that nuance, leaning the floral note louder and less textured. The vanilla-tonka-musk base is present and does the job of warming the composition, but the oakmoss touch that gives the original its grounding is much fainter here, so the drydown feels a little thinner and less complex over time. Longevity sits in the moderate range rather than the original's longer wear. Still, for anyone drawn to Voce Viva's powdery, orange-blossom-forward personality but not ready to spend designer money, this captures the mood convincingly enough for office or evening wear through the cooler months.
