About

JPG160 opens with the unmistakable lavender-mint combination that has defined Le Male since the 1990s, brightened with cardamom, bergamot and artemisia for a fresh, slightly herbal edge. Cinnamon and orange blossom carry a warm, spiced middle before the scent drops into its signature vanilla-tonka base, rounded out with amber, sandalwood and cedar. This dupe pushes the vanilla noticeably sweeter and louder than the original's more restrained gourmand-barbershop balance, which can read as a touch simpler on skin, but it nails the overall lavender-to-vanilla arc that makes Le Male instantly recognisable. Longevity is solid for the price point, though projection settles down faster than the real thing after the first couple of hours.
