About

IS306 opens with a busy citrus rush of yuzu, lemon, bergamot, lemon verbena, mandarin orange, cypress, calone, coriander, tarragon and sage, closely echoing the original's famous watery-aquatic top. The heart moves through blue lotus, nutmeg, lily-of-the-valley, saffron, bourbon geranium and Ceylon cinnamon, before a Tahitian vetiver, musk, cedar, sandalwood, tobacco and amber base. It's a fair rendering of one of the defining aquatic fragrances of the 1990s, keeping the calone-driven freshness intact. The woody-musk base reads softer here, lacking the original's clean, almost mineral precision that gives it lasting definition.
