PR24 is built on Rabanne 1 Million's iconic citrus-spice-leather formula: mandarin, grapefruit and mint up top, cinnamon and rose through the heart, and a leather, amber and patchouli base. The bright citrus opening and warm cinnamon heart are close cousins of the original and easy to recognise. Where it comes up short is the leather-amber base that gives 1 Million its signature confident punch - here it reads softer and less resinous, fading sooner than the real thing's famously long-lasting drydown. A solid, cheap way to sample the spiced-leather genre before committing to the gold bar bottle.
