Juliet Rose Queen Bitch is an Eau de Parfum, created by Juliet Rose. Queen Bitch opens with Bergamot, Grapefruit, and Lavender, settles into a heart of Driftwood, Oakmoss, and Ambergris, and dries down to a base of Musk, Leather, Amber, and Cedar. Juliet Rose's Queen Bitch carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

A leathery, amber-woody unisex EDP with lavender and grapefruit up top and an oud and black musk base. Strong and unusual, with mixed reports on how sweet it turns and how long it lasts. A sample first is wise.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Autumn Winter

Leather, amber and woods give it a deep, warm base, so autumn and winter fit best. The lavender and grapefruit opening keeps it from feeling heavy, but nothing in the reports puts it in high summer.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date
Also Works:
Casual Formal

The brand calls it deep, sexy and warm, so evenings and dates fit best. It is strong and divides opinion, which makes it a risky office choice, and there is no formal or sport case.

About

Queen Bitch is named after a David Bowie song, and it carries some of that swagger. The opening is lavender, bergamot and grapefruit, a bright and slightly herbal lift that the maker calls refreshing. Grapefruit is the part wearers notice first, and one reviewer finds it turns quite sweet from there. Underneath sits the real subject: leather, oud and amber on a bed of deep woods. Driftwood, oakmoss and a synthetic ambergris form the middle, and the base adds black musk, cedarwood and vetiver. Wearers describe it as a leather scent, and one tags it as super strong. Others find it earthy and woody rather than sharp, and a few say the oud and cedar stay more of a promise than a presence. Strength is where reports differ most. The maker and several buyers call it strong and long lasting, yet one buyer found the dry-down subtle and hard to notice after two or three hours. Reactions run from stunning to medicinal, powdery or like air freshener on some skins, so a 3 ml sample is a sensible first step. It was made for a charity cabaret fundraiser and sold as unisex. It suits evenings and cooler weather, and it will not be everybody's idea of an easy daily scent. Think of it as a small, dark, leather-and-amber statement from a handmade indie house rather than a polite office perfume.
