Lush Princess Cottongrass is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2014, created by Simon Constantine. Lush's Princess Cottongrass carries a Favourite verdict, a green-led wear.

This is a polarising green scent, a love-it-or-hate-it affair. Expect an unapologetically verdant, damp forest floor experience; it's unique and won't be for everyone.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer

A warm-weather pick - at its best in spring and summer.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Casual Sport
Also Works:
Office

Its moderate performance and fresh, green character make it suitable for casual wear and daytime activities, including sport, without being overpowering. The unique 'wet forest' vibe might be too unusual for formal settings, and it's an intimate scent rather than a date night powerhouse.

About

Princess Cottongrass opens with a sharp, invigorating burst of pine and nettle, evoking a fresh, damp forest floor after rain. Hints of zesty lemon and bright neroli cut through the green, while violet leaf adds a subtle, earthy floral sweetness. As it settles, Canadian fir balsam and geranium deepen the natural, outdoorsy feel, rounded out by a touch of warm clove, creating an immersive, cool, and somewhat mysterious woodland aroma.
