Lush The Voice of Reason is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2013, created by Mark Constantine and Simon Constantine. Lush's The Voice of Reason carries a Statement verdict, a woody-led wear.

This one's not for the faint of heart - expect a wild ride of divisive scents from BBQ to boozy jazz clubs. Truly a love-it-or-hate-it kind of fragrance, definitely not a blind buy.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

Casual

Its moderate performance and strong, distinctive scent profile make it unsuitable for office wear, as many found it challenging. However, the unique, warm, and mysterious character is well-suited for dates or more casual evening outings, with some finding it acceptable for formal events despite its boldness.

About

Opening with an unapologetically smoky punch, The Voice of Reason quickly evolves from a challenging, almost BBQ-like accord into something more complex and intriguing. Woody notes dominate, softening into a creamy sandalwood base. Hints of rose add a subtle floral nuance, while tonka bean provides a warm, sweet, and slightly boozy depth, reminiscent of a fireside dram.
