Perfume Parlour Anna is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2016. Anna opens with Bergamot and Aldehydes, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom, Rose, Jasmine, and Violet, and dries down to a base of Musk, Green, Cedar, and Clove. Perfume Parlour's Anna carries a Favourite verdict, a floral-led wear.

Anna chases Roja Dove Karenina's aldehydic floral-powdery romance. The sparkling aldehyde opening into a ylang-carnation-frangipani heart reads true to the brief, but as a budget dupe it lands flatter, with the niche original's complexity and 12-hour wear softened.

About

Anna opens on bright aldehydes and bergamot, the sparkling, slightly soapy lift that gives Roja Dove Karenina its old-world glamour. The heart is a lush, spicy-creamy floral - ylang-ylang strengthened by frangipani and carnation, woven with jasmine, gardenia, rose, orange blossom and violet - the powdery characteristic bouquet the original is built around. A drydown of musk, vanilla, cedar and a whisper of cloves and green notes rounds it warm and soft. The overall character is romantic, elegant and unmistakably classic. As a Perfume Parlour budget interpretation it renders the composition flatter and more 2D than the luxury original: the layered aldehydic complexity is simpler, the florals less three-dimensional, and longevity sits skin-close at a few hours rather than the 12 Karenina is famous for. Still, the powdery aldehydic-floral signature and the elegant, romantic mood come through, making it an affordable route to the Karenina idea.
