Black Pomegranate

Black Pomegranate opens on a burst of tart-juicy fruit - pomegranate front and centre, joined by raspberry, plum and rhubarb - exactly the unusual fruity top that makes Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir so recognisable. The heart darkens with clove, pink pepper and smoky olibanum laced through rose and jasmine, before a base of Virginia cedar, patchouli, amber and musk grounds it in dry woods. Where the original carries a divisive incense-and-clove-smoke complexity that some read as clove cigarettes, this Perfume Parlour version renders the spice cleaner and the smoke softer, pushing the bright fruit forward and thinning the resinous depth. Projection is moderate and longevity sits in the middle band. A bold, mysterious fruity-woody scent best worn in cooler months for evenings and date nights.
