Perfume Parlour Dark Leaf is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2020. Dark Leaf opens with Bergamot, Violet Leaf, and Rosemary, settles into a heart of Amber, Orris, Vanilla, and Labdanum, and dries down to a base of Leather, Cedar, Sandalwood, and Oud. Perfume Parlour's Dark Leaf carries a Statement verdict, a smoky-led wear.

Dark Leaf chases Amouage Interlude Black Iris Man - the smoother, iris-and-vanilla-laced refinement of the Interlude smoke bomb. The dupe captures the elegant smoky-incense-meets-creamy-iris contrast but renders flatter and softer-projecting than the long-lasting original.

About

Dark Leaf opens cool and green with violet leaf, rosemary and bergamot before the heart turns rich and creamy: buttery orris and vanilla wrap around amber, labdanum, myrrh and olibanum to tame the smoke. The base lands on an elegant leather drydown over oud, sandalwood, cedar and patchouli. This is the more wearable, refined side of Amouage Interlude - smoky incense softened by a powdery iris-vanilla core - and Perfume Parlour's version captures that gentlemanly contrast. Against the original it reads simpler and skin-closer - the iris less buttery, the incense gentler, and projection more modest where the real thing runs 8-10-plus hours with a substantial sillage. Longevity is moderate. A sophisticated, affordable smoky-iris scent for cool-weather evenings and dressier occasions.
