Perfume Parlour Dubai Oud is an Eau de Parfum. Dubai Oud opens with Bergamot and Saffron, settles into a heart of Rose, and dries down to a base of Amber and Oud. Perfume Parlour's Dubai Oud carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

Saffron and bergamot open onto a rose and oud heart, drying to oud and amber. A warm, spicy and approachable oud, simpler and quieter than the heavyweights.

Top, heart and base are the pyramid as published, not a timing claim. Each note's timing follows its listed tier, where it usually sits across many published pyramids (from ScentPrism) and its vapour pressure. A note comes through as the notes usually listed before it fade, judged from how other pyramids order the same pair. The thickness of a ribbon shows the note's share of what is left on the skin, which tracks how strongly it smells, because odour thresholds rise with vapour pressure. The shares come from how prominent wearers vote each note. It is a simple model, not a measurement.

About

Dubai Oud starts with a sparkle of saffron and bergamot, spicy and citrusy at once, before a rose heart rounds the edges. Oud takes the centre of the scent and stays there into the drydown, where it is joined by amber for a warm, resinous finish. The character is unmistakably Middle Eastern: spice, rose and wood, with the oud kept smooth rather than animalic. It is a little simpler and quieter than a full-strength oud, sitting closer to the skin with moderate lasting power, which makes it easier to wear day to day. It suits cooler weather and evenings best, and works for anyone who wants an oud without a heavy cloud around them.
