German Designer opens bright and zesty - a sharp lemon lifted by a soft, warming peach, like a citrus-fruit sorbet - the signature opening of Karl Lagerfeld for Her (2014). The heart is a clear, sunny floral: magnolia front and centre, rose for body and a creamy frangipani that keeps it gently exotic rather than spicy. The base is soft and clean, with musk, light woody notes and a wash of amber. Perfume Parlour's interpretation captures the original's fresh, pretty, daytime-floral character convincingly, but it reads a fraction flatter, the florals thinner and less luminous and the drydown simpler than the designer blend. Where Karl Lagerfeld for Her manages a moderate 5-6 hours with soft sillage, here longevity is more modest and the projection close. The effect stays light and feminine - a fresh fruity-floral for spring and summer, worn casually, at the office, day to day or on easy dates.
