A budget take on Giorgio Armani's My Way, Great Path opens fresh and luminous with bergamot and a generous orange blossom that signals the white-floral heart to come. Tuberose and Indian jasmine bloom soft and creamy rather than heady, kept gentle and modern, before a base of Madagascar vanilla, virginian cedar and clean white musk lends the cosy, sensual warmth the original is loved for. Set beside the real My Way it reads more two-dimensional - the florals less radiant and the vanilla-musk base thinner - so it trades some of the designer polish for an easy, pretty floral. Projection is moderate and settles close after the first hour, with respectable rather than standout longevity. Still, for the money it captures that soft, feminine, crowd-pleasing signature convincingly - a romantic white-floral warmth that suits dates, daily wear and the office across spring, summer and early autumn, reading as elegant, sensual and effortlessly likeable.
