Herbal Whisper traces Guerlain's Herbes Troublantes: a crisp opening of bergamot laced with aromatic herbs - rosemary, thyme and a whisper of mint - that reads like an elegant eau de cologne. Orange blossom adds a soft, airy floral lift in the heart, keeping things clean and refined rather than sweet. The drydown smooths into a transparent white musk that hugs the skin. Against the niche original, the PP take pushes the herbal-citrus edge a touch sharper and renders the soft, hazy Guerlain musk a little plainer and more linear, losing some of the seamless polish. The designer was always a discreet, close-wearing scent, and this dupe is similar - low projection, a few hours of quiet, fresh wear. A clean, understated aromatic for warm-weather daytime and the office.
