Luxurious Violet opens juicy and bright, a fruity cocktail of litchi, peach and bergamot that sweetens the florals to come - the signature opening of Bond No.9 Dubai Indigo. The heart blooms with peony, jasmine and orange blossom, lush and a little powdery. As it dries, oakmoss, oud, amber and white musk lend an oriental woody depth that keeps the sweetness anchored. The niche original is known for bold, statement-making sillage and very long wear; this Perfume Parlour interpretation reads flatter and lighter, with the lychee-peony accord pretty but more transparent and the performance modest. It still delivers the elegant, fruity-floral-oriental character at a budget price, best in spring and cooler autumn weather for evenings, dates and dressed-up occasions where its luxurious bloom can charm.
