Ornamented opens fresh and feminine: a fruity touch of apricot meets dewy hyacinth and mandarin blossom, capturing the crisp first impression of Carven Le Parfum. The heart turns floral with jasmine, ylang-ylang and sweet pea, keeping things soft and elegant rather than indolic. A base of osmanthus, patchouli and sandalwood lends a gentle musky-woody finish with the faint dusty quality the original is known for. Compared to the Carven - a notably clean, almost laundry-fresh floral with very little sillage - Perfume Parlour nudges the apricot and sweetness up, making it slightly fuller and more obviously fruity.
