Perfume Parlour Parley For Women is an Eau de Parfum. Parley For Women opens with Hyacinth, Bergamot, Rose, and Jasmine, settles into a heart of Lily Of The Valley, Lilac, Clove, and Galbanum, and dries down to a base of Amber, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Vanilla. Perfume Parlour's Parley For Women carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

Parley interprets Guerlain's classic Chamade - that vertiginous green opening of galbanum and hyacinth melting into a powdery floral heart and warm balsamic drydown. The dupe sketches the green-floral-oriental shape but reads flatter and less refined than the vintage Guerlain.

About

Parley takes on Guerlain's 1969 classic Chamade, a green floral-oriental that is a genre unto itself. It opens sharp and crystalline - aldehydes, galbanum, bergamot and a cut-grass hyacinth alongside rose and jasmine - the assertive green lift the original is famous for. The heart turns powdery and floral with lily of the valley, lilac and a whisper of clove, before a warm base of benzoin, amber, sandalwood, Peru and Tolu balsams, vetiver and vanilla rounds it into a comforting drydown. As a budget interpretation it captures the distinctive green-into-powdery-floral arc, but renders it flatter and simpler than Guerlain's layered Guerlinade, losing some of the refinement and the strange, beautiful narcissus pollen nuance. A characterful, slightly retro feminine for those who love classic green florals.
