Preoccupied opens fresh and citrusy: bergamot, neroli, a resinous elemi and bright mixed citruses set a clean, airy tone - the signature of Calvin Klein's Obsessed For Women (2017), marketed as a female take on an oriental fougere. After twenty minutes the heart eases in with white lavender, herbal sage and green violet leaf, plus a soft floral wash of rose, orange blossom and lily of the valley that nudges it gently feminine. The base is light and clean: musk, an airy Iso E Super woodiness and powdery ambrette. Perfume Parlour's interpretation captures the original's fresh, low-key, unisex-leaning character convincingly, but it reads a fraction flatter, the florals thinner and the blend simpler. Where Obsessed is already famously light and sometimes fleeting on skin, here longevity is moderate-to-modest with a soft, close projection.
