Raalph 2 opens on a tart, juicy cranberry - bright and a little sour - lifted by soft magnolia and osmanthus, the signature fruity-floral burst of the Ralph Lauren it follows. The heart turns soapy-floral as jasmine sambac and a May rose accord come forward, clean and pretty. The drydown is the cosy part: creamy tonka bean folded into a soft patchouli and musk for a sweet, slightly powdery finish. Held against the Big Pony 2 it imitates, this Perfume Parlour version follows the cranberry-floral-tonka blueprint but in a more balanced, rounded register - reviewers note the original feels greener and more soapy where this leans smoother and sweeter - and projection is gentler, turning into a close skin scent before long. As a cheerful, flirty fruity-floral for warmer days it captures the Big Pony 2 mood at a budget price, if without its brighter green snap.
