Scarlet Grass For Men

Perfume Parlour Scarlet Grass For Men is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2014. Scarlet Grass For Men opens with Apple, Bergamot, and Lemon, settles into a heart of Geranium, Rose, and Cinnamon, and dries down to a base of Vetiver, Cedar, Patchouli, and Musk. Perfume Parlour's Scarlet Grass For Men carries a Favourite verdict, a woody-led wear.

Scarlet Grass For Men chases Creed's Vetiver Geranium, a fresh woody-floral built on green apple, geranium and grassy vetiver. The dupe captures that crisp apple-and-geranium opening but, true to budget oils, the refined Creed ambergris-cedar base reads flatter and a little less rounded.

About

Scarlet Grass opens crisp and green, a tart granny smith apple alongside bright bergamot and lemon. Geranium leads the heart, kept fresh and verdant rather than rose-soapy by the fruit, with a whisper of cinnamon spice and soft rose for warmth. The drydown turns woody and grassy, vetiver threaded through cedar and patchouli over a clean musk and a touch of amber, echoing the Creed house ambergris signature. It is a recognisable nod to Vetiver Geranium, one of Creed's brighter, more wearable Acqua Originale releases. Where the original layers its woody base with a polished, almost luminous depth, this version renders that drydown more simply and the green-apple top reads a touch sharper. Performance is moderate, soft sillage and a few solid hours, in line with the original's own modest longevity. Fresh, grassy and quietly refined, it is an easy daytime woody for spring through autumn, equally at home at the office, on casual days or a relaxed date.
