Shiny Workplace

Perfume Parlour Shiny Workplace is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2007. Shiny Workplace opens with Bergamot, Grapefruit, and Lavender, settles into a heart of Incense, Jasmine, Violet, and Iris, and dries down to a base of resins, Cedar, and Amber. Perfume Parlour's Shiny Workplace carries a Favourite verdict, a incense-led wear.

Shiny Workplace chases Bond No.9's Andy Warhol Silver Factory - that pinkish, metallic incense laced with iris and violet over cedar and amber. The dupe captures the cool incense-and-powder signature but renders it flatter and less radiant, with the iris-violet metallic shimmer dimmed and the original's strong projection scaled right back.

About

Shiny Workplace opens cool and aromatic: a lavender-bergamot-grapefruit lift that quickly gives way to the centrepiece - incense. The heart is a smooth, slightly sweet incense threaded with powdery iris and violet and a touch of jasmine, the iris-violet pairing lending that signature metallic, lipstick-like shimmer the Bond original is loved for. Cedar, soft resins and amber warm the base. Held against the Silver Factory it imitates, this Perfume Parlour version follows the metallic-incense blueprint but in a quieter register: the original's vivid, pinkish-candied glow and its well-above-average projection become a softer, flatter incense here, with the violet-iris metallic quality less pronounced. It still reads sophisticated and a little arty - a cool, refined incense scent for evenings and cooler days that captures Silver Factory's creative spirit at a budget price, if without its radiance and tenacity.
