It opens fresh and lively with juicy mandarin lifted by sparkling pink pepper, before a sensual heart of orange blossom and Sambac jasmine adds a soft, powdery floralcy. A gentle vanilla and light woods round out the base for an intimate, skin-close warmth. As a budget version it tracks the original's caressing, luminous-oriental character well, though it renders the florals flatter and the vanilla simpler, losing some of the spiced depth. Performance is modest - the original itself is on the lighter side - so it sits close and fades sooner than a full oriental.
