Velvet Bliss

Perfume Parlour Velvet Bliss is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2020. Velvet Bliss opens with Berries, Coconut, Apple, and Plum, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Rose, and Lily Of The Valley, and dries down to a base of Vanilla, Benzoin, Amber, and Sandalwood. Perfume Parlour's Velvet Bliss carries a Statement verdict, a sweet-led wear.

Velvet Bliss chases Tiziana Terenzi's Orza - that creamy fruity-gourmand of berries, coconut and caramel-vanilla. The dupe captures the sweet, edible coziness well but pushes the caramel candy facet louder and lets the rose-jasmine heart fade, landing sweeter and more linear than the original's softly faceted glow, with the Terenzi's huge sillage trimmed back.

About

Velvet Bliss opens on a juicy burst of wild berries, plum and green apple over a creamy coconut, instantly recognisable as a budget run at Orza's sweet fruity heart. A gentle floral middle of jasmine, Bulgarian rose and lily-of-the-valley flickers through, though here it is faint and quickly swallowed by the dessert. The drydown is the star: warm caramel and Madagascar vanilla folded into musk, benzoin, amber and a touch of sandalwood, a soft gourmand cushion that hums close to the skin. Set beside the Tiziana Terenzi it imitates, this Perfume Parlour version is sweeter and more candied - the caramel reads almost toffee-like and the composition is more linear, missing some of Orza's airy floral lift and its room-filling extrait projection. What it keeps is the cosy, edible charm: a comforting fruity-gourmand for cold-weather evenings and snuggly date nights at a fraction of the niche price.
