Wood Weave State opens with a woody whisper of oud before quickly handing the spotlight to rose - exactly the move that makes Oud Satin Mood rose-forward rather than oud-forward. Bulgarian and Turkish roses pile up in the heart, sweetened by resinous benzoin, while candied violet lends a powdery lift. The drydown is soft and vanillic, the oud now a gentle woody cushion under a creamy, almost gourmand vanilla. The niche original is famous for monster projection and 12-plus-hour wear; this Perfume Parlour Express interpretation reads lighter and flatter, with the rose-vanilla accord pretty but more transparent and the performance modest. Even so, it delivers the plush, satiny rose-oud character at a fraction of the price. Best in autumn and winter for evenings, dates and elegant occasions where its sweet, powdery rose can glow.
