Zagros

Perfume Parlour Zagros is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2017. Zagros opens with Grapefruit, Pineapple, and Bergamot, settles into a heart of Cedar, Patchouli, and Jasmine, and dries down to a base of Oakmoss and Woody. Perfume Parlour's Zagros carries a Favourite verdict, a woody-led wear.

Zagros chases Nishane Hacivat's pineapple-and-oakmoss woody king. The smoky pineapple-citrus opening over earthy cedar, patchouli and moss reads true to the brief, but as a budget dupe it lands flatter, with the niche original's monster projection and 12-hour wear softened.

About

Zagros opens on a juicy, slightly smoky pineapple lifted by grapefruit and bergamot, the sharp, concentrated citrus-fruit flash that made Nishane Hacivat a modern niche favourite. The opening quickly hands off to an earthy heart of cedar, patchouli and jasmine, before a base of oakmoss and dry woods takes over - the super-dry, mossy-woody drydown the original is celebrated for. The overall character is fresh-fruity up top, woody-green underneath, and unmistakably grown-up. As a Perfume Parlour budget interpretation it renders the composition flatter and more 2D than the niche original: the smoky pineapple is simpler, the oakmoss-wood depth thinner, and longevity sits skin-close at a few hours rather than the 12-plus, beast-projecting wear Hacivat is famous for. Still, the pineapple-citrus-and-oakmoss signature and the confident, refined mood come through, making it an affordable route to the Hacivat idea.
